- Abstract
The article describes five eighteenth-century manuscripts about Middle English in the Hunterian Collection of the Glasgow University Library. These manuscripts are a concordance to the poem "Vision of Piers Plowman," by William Langland, a concordance to the works of author Geoffrey Chaucer, a concordance to the book "Chronicle of Pierre de Langtoft," a grammar of the book "Robert of Gloucester," and a grammar of the works of theologian John Wycliffe. Topics include the dating of the manuscripts, descriptions of the paper and watermarks used, and labels attached to the manuscripts.
