- Authors

- Abstract
This article focuses on several literary works. The author discusses the book "Sermons," by John Donne and edited by George R. Potter and Evelyn M. Simpson. The latest biographer of poet George Herbert seems to interpret in the book "A Life of George Herbert," by Amy M. Charles. Amy Charles is right in concluding that the Charing Cross house into which wife of George Herbert moved in 1601 when she still had all her children with her must have been near a church. The records that most clearly attest daughter of Herbert Magdalen Herbert's presence and activity in St Martin-in-the-Fields are the parish accounts of the Overseers of the Poor, which are after a time combined with the Churchwardens' Accounts.
