- Authors
Silver, Anna
- Abstract
This article discusses the recent trends in young adult literature (YAL) and the academic perspective on Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" saga. The author digs deeper into the issues concerning ideology, motherhood, sex and identity. These issues are also investigated in terms of YAL and books that openly engage issues of identity. Moreover, the author not only identifies aspects of Meyer's work from a feminist perspective but also makes sure that critics will not create a passive reader of the "Twilight."
