- Abstract
Depuis les années 1990, la régulation des systèmes éducatifs des pays de l’OCDE a subi de nombreuses transformations et l’école québécoise n’y fait pas exception. La Nouvelle Gestion publique, qui s’inspire largement des modes de gestion de l’entreprise privée, vise à remédier à la désorganisation et à l’inefficacité (présumée) des institutions publiques. Cette nouvelle rationalisation du système éducatif a des effets importants, au Québec, sur le travail des différentes catégories d’agents scolaires, ce qui comprend les enseignants, mais également ceux qui travaillent en périphérie de la classe comme les techniciens et les professionnels scolaires (psychologues, orthopédagogues, psychoéducateurs, orthophonistes, ergothérapeutes, etc.). L’article porte sur les fortes tensions qui existent entre une conception professionnelle et une conception organisationnelle de la profession que subissent plusieurs professionnels scolaires. Mais le fonctionnement ordinaire des établissements scolaires, leur autonomie, la division du travail éducatif, favorisent-ils la mise en place d’une action structurée ou organisée permettant aux professionnels scolaires de résister à la nouvelle forme de rationalisation de leur travail ?
