- Abstract
The article is a review of the book "Woman and Women. Their Essence and Existence in History," edited by the "Santa Teresa de Jesús" Chair of Women's Studies in 2021. The first volume of the book is titled "Woman. Being and Task" and consists of eight chapters that address topics such as the study of women, sexual difference, motherhood, and women in the Church. The second volume is titled "Traces of Women Yesterday and Today. Their Place, Influence, and Image" and also consists of eight chapters that discuss topics such as women's legal equality, education, the figure of Saint Catherine of Siena, and the role of women in art. The work offers a clear anthropological perspective on the essence and existence of women.
