- Abstract
The article focuses on Carolus Linnaeus' methods of classifying both plants and animals. It states that Linnaeus' work established a single system that was to become universally accepted for naming species using two-name principle in nomenclature for plants and animals. Moreover, Linnaeus used three sources for his works such as living material, herbarium material and literature or correspondence that gave details of particular specimens. Other works of Linnaeus are also presented.
