- Abstract
Another strategy of reducing the burdens of lung cancer among never-smokers in Taiwan is through screening individuals with a high risk for lung cancer. The first-round screening results showed a high detection rate (2.14%) of invasive lung cancers, and more than 95% of these cancers were stage I tumours.[3] Based on this promising experience, our Health Promotion Administration launched a nationwide lung cancer screening program on 1 July 2022.
