- Abstract
This article focuses on a multicentre study related to the effectiveness of disperse dyes mix in detection of contact allergy to textile dyes, as of November 1995. Non-occupational clothing allergic contact dermatitis is still most frequently caused by synthetic dyes of disperse type, particularly azo dyes. In the study, positive reactions to the dyes mix were observed in 60 of the 67 subjects patch tested, while a doubtful reaction and a false-negative reaction were observed in 2 cases. In the 120 subjects of the control group, 2 false-positive reactions and no true-positive or late reactions were observed.
