- Abstract
In a laser factory, a 54-year-old factory worker was transferred to work on the preparation of copper mirrors for carbon anhydride lasers. A year and a half later he had signs of allergic contact dermatitis mainly on the adjacent lateral sides of the third and fourth lingers of the right hand. Standard patch test and other substances involved in the specific working processes demonstrated the patients sensitivity to balsam of Peru and Hyprez OS spray used in the smoothing phase of mirrors. The worker now uses the unperfumed Hyprez W spray in the mirror smoothing process and his allergic contact dermatitis has disappeared.
