- Abstract
The article deals with the default mode network in people with Alzheimer's disease (AD). The default mode network refers to an interlinked set of brain regions that are active when the brain is at rest and that power down during mental tasks. A study which combines functional connectivity brain imaging with amyloid imaging has introduced a twist to the changing science of the brain's default mode network.
