- Abstract
Our findings should prompt a detailed ultrasound evaluation of the hepatic afferent venous system in every fetus with severe hydrothorax in order to refine the selection criteria for TAS and thus improve survival outcome. Association between severe fetal hydrothorax and anomalies of the fetal hepatic afferent venous system, such as ductus venosus agenesis (DVA), has been reported previously1.
