- Abstract
In conclusion, clinicians should consider DD as a differential diagnosis in patients with a longstanding history of persistent, hyperkeratotic papules from an unknown origin in intraoral sites with concomitant skin lesions. Dear Editor, Darier disease (DD) is an autosomal dominant inherited genodermatosis characterized by greasy hyperkeratotic papules in seborrheic regions, nail abnormalities, and mucous membrane changes.1,2 Although the oral cavity can be affected, a few cases with exuberant oral manifestations have been described.2-4 Given this rarity, clinicians and dentists may face some challenges to recognize this condition, so we would like to share our experience with a DD case diagnosed from oral lesions. Multiple white papule-like lesions in the whole extension of buccal mucosa (c), Lower lip mucosa and anterior lower gingiva (d), upper lip mucosa, upper gingiva, and hard and soft palate (e).
