- Abstract
This article discusses the role of serine hydroxymethyltransferase 2 (SHMT2) and miR-383-5p in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). The study found that SHMT2 is highly expressed in LUAD tissue and is associated with a poor prognosis. Knockdown of SHMT2 inhibited the proliferation and migration of LUAD cells. Additionally, miR-383-5p was found to downregulate SHMT2 expression and reduce the proliferation and migration abilities of LUAD cells. The study suggests that SHMT2 and miR-383-5p could be potential therapeutic targets for LUAD treatment. However, further research is needed to confirm these findings and explore their effects on lung cancer growth and metastasis.
