ARTICLES IN BRIEF.
- Authors
Kingston, James R.
- Abstract
The article discusses the public image of scientists as presumed by the people for decades. It is stated that the public maintained a trusting attitude towards scientists when they remained in their ivory towers but they become agitated once they step out and disturb the equanimity of the self-satisfied by investigating the fundamental processes of life. The article further discusses the status of several categories of scientists including biochemists and entomologists who are considered to be distrusted by all males because of the several experiments conducted on the male species by these scientists.
