- Abstract
The article reports that a lack of federal funding could delay a children's health study in the United States. The survey, the National Children's Health Study, will gather information about the role of environment in birth defects, diabetes, obesity, and other conditions. The study will monitor 100,000 children from birth to age 21 years. The study has an estimated cost of $2.7 billion.
