- Abstract
The article examines the methods by which regression is induced, particularly sensory deprivation. The analysis takes up in terms of phenomenological embodiment through the work of French phenomenological philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty. It situates modern interrogation by drawing on the work of Foucault. It considers interrogation in terms of three important concepts from Merleau-Ponty's work. It attempts to demonstrate that the analysis of interrogation using the concepts elaborated by Merleau-Ponty shed significant light on the practice itself.
