- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examined injured patients admitted to intensive care units (ICU) following the earthquake in Lushan, China in 2013. Topics discussed include the clinical characteristics of these patients, and the findings which show infection as the most common complication in earthquake injuries. Also mentioned are some experiences with infection control in Lushan earthquake injuries, including asempiric antimicrobial drugs selection, and rational antimicrobial drug use.
