- Abstract
The article focuses on the association between hip fractures and physical performance on five physical functions in older men. It states the physical functions were usual walking pace, narrow walk balance tests, leg power, grip strength, and five repeated chair stands. It mentions that difficulties with repeated chair stand performance was associated with increased risk of hip fracture, and that failure on at least three physical functions was also associated with higher risk of risk fracture.
