- Abstract
The author reflects on the use of antibiotics that results to the extension of life expectancy of an individual. He states the use of antimicrobial and antibiotics such as penicillin in cancer treatment, organ transplantation, and surgery. He also mentions the use of antibiotics in primary care for respiratory tract infections and urinary tract infections. The author suggests on the good hygiene practise to reduce the reliance on the use of antimicrobials.
