- Title
Deictic Projection of the I and Eye in Beckett's Fiction and Film.
- Authors
Moorjani, Angela
- Abstract
A literary criticism to the dimension of the use of deixis in the works of Irish author Samuel Beckett. The author highlighted the deictic pronoun "I " in its psychoanalytic incarnations and examines the implications of this entity for Beckett's narrative practice. It also reconsidered the projection of the authorial subject-position in the many vice-existers, various literary heteronyms or fictional writers in Beckett's narratives.
