- Abstract
The author explores the influence of Black Mountain College (BMC) poets on his poetry. He remembers how he became interested in poetry during his teenage years after he was exposed to the precepts and writings of BMC poets such as Charles Olson, Robert Creeley and Joel Oppenheimer. He also recounts his experience of attending a creative writing workshop run by Professor David Toor.
