- Abstract
The article focuses on maintaining an informal intellectual property economy and effects of sector on foreign rightholders to combat theft of intellectual property in developing countries. Topics discussed include alternative strategies for protecting rightholders in developed countries while facilitating economic growth in developing markets, piracy and counterfeiting are illegal in most developed and developing countries and intangible assets such as trade secrets, copyrights and patents.
