- Abstract
This article reports on a study which determined that consultation behaviors to ambulatory pediatric clinic were not altered by the call-center-based patient-gathering policy during the 2009 outbreak of H1N1 swine-origin influenza (SOI) in Kobe, Japan. The study explores the response of Kobe to the outbreak, criteria used by call centers to determine individuals suspected of SOI and the implications of the research findings.
