- Abstract
The article titled "Characterization of the population with disabilities at the University Foundation of Health Sciences" presents the results of a study conducted at said institution to determine the prevalence of disability among its academic population. 805 questionnaires were collected through Google Forms and it was found that 11.93% of the academic community has a disability. Visual disability is the most prevalent, followed by physical disability. Additionally, it was found that 83.6% of the population with disabilities are undergraduate students. The article also mentions the levels of functional performance and environmental barriers faced by people with disabilities at the institution.
