- Title
Isabelle Vernos: Motoring around the mitotic spindle.
- Authors
Sedwick, Caitlin
- Abstract
An interview with cell biologist Isabelle Vernos about mitotic spindle and motor proteins is presented. When she was a graduate student, she states that she studied the effects of microgravity on Drosophila embryo development. She adds that the shift of her interest to motor proteins in Xenopus was caused by her desire to explore the role of microtubule cytoskeleton in the development of embryo. She provides an overview on her research about microtubule motors.
