- Abstract
BACKGROUND: The abundance of precious metal elements in the earth's crust is low, and the proportion of precious metal minerals is large. The distribution of precious metal elements in the samples is uneven, and there is serious particle effect. OBJECTIVES: In order to make the analysis results accurate and reliable, it is necessary to select the appropriate means of sample decomposition and separation and enrichment to ensure the complete sample decomposition, effectively eliminate the interference of co-existing ions and matrix effect, enhance the precious metal element test signal, and improve the signal-to-noise ratio. METHODS: The methods of fire assay, alkali fusion, acid decomposition, adsorption, tellurium coprecipitation, ion exchange, solvent extraction, distillation and biological adsorption in the process of sample decomposition are summarized. RESULTS: In the pretreatment methods of precious metal element analysis of geological samples, different decomposition methods and separation and enrichment methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. CONCLUSIONS: According to the characteristics of different types of geological samples, appropriate decomposition, separation and enrichment methods should be selected to strictly control the background of the process and the pollution of each link, so as to realize the combination of multiple technologies and methods and meet the requirements of precious metal analysis.
