- Abstract
The narcotelenovela is a cultural product, part of narco-culture. This gender promotes social and gender violence. Its main theme is drug trafficking. Its protagonists are the traffickers of México. This soap opera confirms cultural patterns and its discursive construction reinforces traditional gender values and therefore educates and its influence is important. The moral and ethical values are come into play in the narcotelenovelas, is one of its main characteristics. In this article we have an approach to analysis of the perpetuation of gender violence in the narcotelenovela and its influence like cultural product because naturalize this problem and contributes to accept the narcoculture. In this objective, we analyze how the narcotelenovela naturalize the violence against women in three illustrative cases: La Reina del Sur, Infames and El Señor de los Cielos.
