- Title
Alemania: en qué va el camino sinodal.
- Abstract
Germany continues to make progress in its Synodal Path, a process that brings together German laypeople and Catholic bishops to discuss four main topics: the exercise of "power," sexual morality, the priesthood, and the role of women in the Church. This process arises as a response to the crisis generated by sexual abuse within the Church. During the third Synodal Assembly, the first drafts were presented on a document proposing an updated sexual morality, and the first steps were taken to allow the participation of women in sacramental offices. However, these proposals have generated criticism and concerns in other sectors of the Church, who fear a possible schism. Pope Francis has not yet spoken out on the matter.
