- Abstract
In order to reduce the equivalent rating and complexity of the winding configuration in the phase-shifting transformer,a star-connected phase-shifting autotransformer was proposed with low rating and simple winding configuration. According to the requirement of multi-pulse rectifier on phase-shift transformer,the phasor diagram of the star-connected autotransformer and the turn ratio of the winding were confirmed. The switching function of the 12-pulse rectifier using the star-connected autotransformer was defined,and from the switching function,the input line current and load voltage of the 12-pulse rectifier were analyzed,and the equivalent kVA rating of the three magnetic devices in the 12-pulse rectifier was calculated. Theoretical analysis,simulation and experimental results show the rectifier with the starconnected autotransformer can realize the 12-pulse rectification,and has the merits of high power density and simple configuration,and the proposed 12-pulse rectifier is suitable to be used in high-power rectification with three-phase four-wire.
