- Abstract
The article discusses a study which investigated ultraviolet vision and avoidance of power lines in birds and mammals. It suggests that birds and mammals might have the ability to detect ultraviolet light (UV). It offers information on UV discharges on power lines and describes a demonstration of UV responses in reindeer retinae. It also stipulated that reindeer, like birds and rodents, may see corona UV as lines of flickering light.
