- Abstract
Information about the International Union of Forest Research Organizations' (IUFRO) Genetics of Fagaceae and Nothofagaceae Conference which was held in Bordeaux, France in October 2012 is presented. Paul Manos of the Duke University showed that though acorn-like fruits evolve independently they are not associated to diversification rates. Presentations showed how genome-wide colinearity exists among genera and species.
