- Title
Rejoinder to Ricklefs & Cadena (2007): Response to Mace & Pelletier.
- Authors
Ricklefs, Robert E.; Cadena, Carlos Daniel
- Abstract
The authors presents a response to Mace and Pelletier's concerns about the quality and size of the ISIS database, and its suitability for answering questions concerning life history trade-offs. According to the authors, while they agree that the ISIS data have limitations, they also provide unique opportunities for analysis. The authors address several issues raised by Mace and Pelletier, including the accuracy and completeness of zoo records, management of reproduction by zoo personnel, and zoo effects.
