Liebe tun: Arbeiten an einer Emotion am Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts.
- Authors
Bänziger, Peter-Paul
- Abstract
The article examines expressions of love in everyday life and their connection to consumerism in Switzerland in the late 20th century. Using advice columns in the Swiss tabloid newspaper "Blick," authored by Marta Emmenegger, as primary sources, it investigates how ideas about dating, intimacy, sex, and romantic love were debated and constructed in these texts. Symbolic aspects of love and affection are addressed. The possibility of historicizing love and emotions as social phenomena is also considered.
