- Abstract
The study intended to show the perceptions of crack users on their trajectories in seeking and undergoing treatment at a Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Other Drugs - CAPS AD, Montes Claros, MG. This is a qualitative study with a descriptive and analytical approach. The participants were four users, and we adopted the criterion of saturation narratives. Structural analysis was adopted to treat the data collected. The study demonstrated that the methodology used was appropriate for a better understanding of the trajectory of crack users in the experience of finding and undergoing treatment, pointing out some of their characteristics and perspectives regarding the service. The study showed the need to offer assistance and treatment as a way to create demand among adolescents, while respecting the particularities of each case and what can be treated. Receptiveness and the disposition to listen are identified as strategies that touch on the subjectivity of these subjects and promote their 'desire for' treatment. However, contamination by ideals (rules of the institution) should not be allowed, an initial condition for the subjects and their involvement in treatment.
