- Title
Outstanding Scientific Achievement Award Lecture 2010: Deconstructing Leptin: From Signals to Circuits.
- Authors
Myers Jr., Martin G.
- Abstract
The article presents a lecture on the deconstruction of leptin in obese and diabetic mice, which was awarded as the Outstanding Scientific Achievement Award Lecture for 2010. The lecture discussed the physiological information on leptin, including the expression of leptin receptor in the brain, mutation of genes encoding leptin and the cellular mechanisms of leptin receptor signaling. It also offered an overview of studies comparing the leptin in wild type and diabetic mice.
