- Abstract
The article compares the effects of dietary lipid challenge on intramyocellular lipid (IMCL) between sprinters (SP) and endurance runners (ER) in soleus (SO) and tibialis anterior (TA) muscles. The mean IMCL levels in TA of ER after normal- and high-fat diet were higher than those of SP. IMCL levels in SO and TA of ER were lower after low-fat diet and increased after high-fat diet. There were no significant changes in IMCL observed in CP during normal- and high-fat diets.
