- Abstract
This article reviews data on the position and role of insomniac disorders in cerebrovascular impairments. It is emphasized that insomnia is one among the factors modifying the risk of cerebrovascular pathology. It is also noted that obstructive apnea syndrome may be responsible for the development of arterial hypertension. The diagnostic value of complex investigations of patients with sleep pathology (including polysomnography) and its role in determining the measures to be used for correction of sleep disorders and the treatment of the main disease are recognized.
