- Abstract
The authors reflect on the political and economic crises in Venezuela and their impact on citizens' health. Other topics include how high levels of inflation and generalized poverty affected the maintenance of health and sufficient nutrition amidst the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and growing global food insecurity, and the reasons behind the high mortality of infants like noncommunicable diseases, injuries, and perinatal conditions.
