- Abstract
The article presents a discussion on in vitro antibacterial activity of endotamponading gases. Vitreous substitutes are reportedly common tools in vitreoretinal surgery as short or long term replacement of vitreous fluid. Intraocular gases are reportedly used in these cases, to treat cases of retinal detachment by flattening the retina, tamponading retinal breaks and temporarily reattaching the retina.
