- Abstract
The aim of this paper is to analyze social design images as well as to conceptualize and introduce this form of visual communication, based on Michel Maffesoli’s theories and on interviews with social design professionals. We’ve studied french social design’s features and its linkwith postmodernity. As a result, we’ve realized there’s a strong correspondence between them both, what leads to understanding french social design as a reflex of this post modern society. We can see that french social design’s features are a result of its context and historical evolution, which shows the influence of postmodernity on the graphic elements of this communication phenomenon.
