- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the effect of two sources of sodium on broiler performance, water consumption and blood Na concentration under low temperature conditions. The study provided corn-soy based experimental diets with sodium to a group of Hubbard broilers. The results showed an increase in body weight and feed efficiency of broilers during their first two weeks of age. In addition, the study revealed an increase in water consumption with the increasing level of Na and a linear increase in blood Na concentration from low to high level of Na.
