- Abstract
The author discusses the areas of the operational importance for leprosy control. He mentions the attention received by the neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) such as the ways to reduce transmission of infectious diseases to new hosts, and morbidity management. He cites a study by F. J. Moet and colleagues which showed the highest risk of infection in household contacts of index cases.
