- Authors

- Abstract
The article focuses on the requirement and effectiveness of nasal dressings on wound healing following endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS). It discusses several products that have been investigated for their effect on wound healing including gelatin matrix combined with human derived thrombin (FloSeal) and a synthetic dissolvable biodegradable polyurethane foam. It is concluded that the routine use of nasal packing materials to prevent postoperative bleeding events following ESS is unnecessary.
