- Abstract
The article offers information on a three-phase compositional model of carbon dioxide injection which is based on higher-order finite element methods with cubic-plus-association (CPA) using equations of state (EOS) for aqueous phase. It informs that the model uses Peng-Robinson EOS for hydrocarbon phases and allows solubility of carbon dioxide in water and uses CPA-EOS for cross association between water and carbon dioxide molecules and results in the formulation of a reservoir simulator.
