- Abstract
Describes the isolation and characterization of an active compound that inhibits ovalbumin permeation through the Caco-2 cell monolayer. Evaluation of its allergy preventive effect using a rat oral sensitization model; Indication that tryptophan suppresses oral sensitization to ovalbumin, probably via suppression of ovalbumin absorption from the intestinal tract.
