- Abstract
Patients were excluded if they were younger than 60 years of age, had any leadless pacemaker implantation, or if they had their procedure from July to December 2018 as they would not be evaluated for the 180-day readmission outcome. Conclusion We conclude that, among elderly patients with dementia, implantation of CPM was associated with increased risk of in-hospital mortality and peri implantation complication, as well as readmission and increased length of stay. The last 60 years has witnessed major advancement in the pacing technology, especially with the advent of the leadless pacemaker system ([1]).
