- Abstract
In this article, the authors discuss the controversies that may arise in the branding of the sandstone landscape of Zhangjiajie Geopark in China. The authors, relating the naming of Danxia landscape, say that Zhangjiajie is composed of distinct landforms and should not be resembled to any particular place and referred as a landscape. They believe that naming conventions in geomorphology should be set up in order to develop a global scientific approach for recognizing the diversity of landforms.
