- Abstract
La caña flecha (Gynerium sagitatum Aubl.) es una planta de la familia Gramineae de gran importancia para las comunidades indígenas Zenú de los departamentos de Córdoba y Sucre, ya que su nervadura central es la feunte de fibra para fabricar artesanías como el “Sombrero Vueltiao”. La micropropagación de plantas de caña flecha ha sido desarrollada a través del Programa de Investigación Biotecnología Aplicada a la Caña Flecha. Con el fin de incrementar la eficiencia del protocolo de micropropagación, se evaluó el efecto de enraizamiento ex vitro y la cubierta de las bandejas al momento del transplante con respecto a la adaptación in vitro de plantas micropropagadas de los cultivares “Criolla”, Costera” y “Martinera”. Las plantas fueron multiplicadas iin vitro en medio semisólido MS (Murashige y Skoog) suplido con 0,5 mg L-1 de BAP, y enraizadas en medio MS semisólido adicionado con 0,5 mg L-1 de ANA. El transplante se realizó en bandejas plásticas de 72 alveolos con turba como sustrato. A la mitad de las plantas (120) les fue colocada una cubierta plástica transparente, mientras que la otra mitad de plantas fueron dejadas descubiertas. Simultaneamente, plantas multiplicadas en medio semisólido MS con 0,5 mg L-1 de BAP y sin enraizamiento, fueron transplantadas en condiciones y cantidades similares a las indicadas anteriormente. Los tratamientos se distribuyeron con un diseño de parcelas sub-sub divididas. Todas las plantas fueron colocadas en una casa malla con polisombra del 50% y riego por nebulización. Durante la primera semana después del transplante, todas las plantas fueron irrigadas con tres riegos diarios de 2 min cada uno, removiendo la cubierta a aquellas que las tenían. Una semana después del transplante, todas las plantas fueron descubiertas e irrigadas dos veces diarias con la misma intensidad de riego, y a partir de la tercera semana, todas las plantas fueron irrigadas una vez al día por 2 min. Al final de la cuarta semana después del transplante, se registraron los datos de las variables altura de planta (cm), número de tallos por planta, número de raíces por palnta y se calculó el porcentaje de plantas sobrevivientes. Los resultados del análisis de varianza y separación de medias permitieron detectar diferencias estadísticas en las variables como resultado del efecto de los tratamientos. Las plantas de todas las variedades adaptadas sin cubierta de bandeja resultaron con mayor número de raíces, mas tallos y mayor altura que las adaptadas con cubiertas. Las plantas enraizadas in vitro incrementaron significativamente el valor de las mismas variables comparadas con aquellas transplantadas sin raíces. Sin embargo, independientemente de la condición de enraizamiento in vitro y cobertura de las bandejas, todas las plantas sobrevivieron en un 100%. Se concluye que la adaptación de las plantas micropropagadas de caña flecha es recomendable realizarla sin cubierta de bandejas, mientras que se recomineda investigar en mas detalle el efecto del enraizamiento in vitro en el desarrollo de las plantas en campo.
