- Abstract
The article discusses the identification of somatic frameshift mutations in exon 9 of the calreticulin (CALR) gene in patients with BCRABL-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). It cites the development of a robust assay for the detection of indels in exon 9 of CALR and tested samples for investigation of persistent thrombocytosis. The diluted five samples carrying different indel mutations with control DNA is also carried out to determine the sensitivity of PCR fragment analysis.
