- Abstract
Discusses the use of molecular genetic analysis of fine-needle aspiration (FNA) specimens in the early detection and diagnosis of occult thyroid cancer metastases in small cervical lymph node. Unreliability of the results derived from ultrasound-guided FNA cytology; Diagnostic effectivity of the reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction amplification of the thyroglobulin transcript in the specimens from the lymph node FNA.
